Musical Pacifiers
What You’ll Need:
- Several pacifiers (one less than the number of guests playing)
- A table
- A device to play music
Preparation:
Arrange the pacifiers in a circle on the table – just like musical chairs, make sure there’s one less pacifier than there are players. Choose fun, upbeat baby-themed music to play.
How to Play:
Players walk around the table while the music plays. When the music suddenly stops, everyone must quickly grab a pacifier. The guest left without a pacifier is out! Remove one pacifier and continue the game until only one guest remains – the Musical Pacifier Champion!
It’s a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud game that gets people moving and scrambling – baby shower chaos at its finest!
Best For:
Medium to large groups, high-energy crowds, indoor or outdoor baby showers.
Baby Lip Sync Challenge
What You’ll Need:
- Headphones
- A list of baby, pregnancy, and parenting phrases
Preparation:
Prepare a playlist of fun, upbeat songs (bonus if they’re baby-related!). Print out a list of short phrases about babies, pregnancy, and parenting that are easy to recognize. You can use my ready made printable to save time!
How to Play:
Guests play in pairs. One person wears the headphones with loud music playing so they won’t be able to hear anything around them.
The other reads a phrase such as “sleep like a baby”. The person with the headphones must guess what was said.
Each pair has one minute to guess as many phrases as possible.
I promise you, watching someone struggle to figure out what’s being said and guessing something completely off is one of the funniest things ever!
Best For:
Small to medium groups, outgoing guests, indoor parties.

Baby Word Challenge
What You’ll Need:
- Pre-made word cards with baby-related words + a list of restricted words for each word
Preparation:
Create cards with baby-related words such as pacifier and list four restricted words underneath that cannot be used in the description (like soother, dummy, binky, suck).
How to Play:
Divide guests into two teams. One player picks a card and must describe the word without using any of the restricted words. Their team has one minute to guess. If they fail, the opposing team gets a chance. Then the second team starts, and so on. The team with the most correct guesses wins!

Best For:
Medium to large groups, team-based parties, guests who love word games.

Guess the Baby Food
What You’ll Need:
- A variety of baby food jars with different flavors
- Disposable spoons for each guest
- Blindfolds
Preparation:
Remove labels from baby food jars.
How to Play:
Each time, two competitors are chosen and blindfolded. They both taste the same baby food at the same time. The first one to guess the correct flavor wins the round. The game continues with new pairs until all the jars have been tasted.
Be prepared for some hilarious (and disgusted) reactions!
Best For:
Medium groups, adventurous eaters, family-friendly showers.
Baby Bottle Chug
What You’ll Need:
- Baby bottles (one per player)
- Juice, soda, or any drink of choice
- Optional: Adult diapers
Preparation:
Fill each baby bottle with the same amount of liquid. Make sure all bottles have the same type of nipple to keep it fair.
If you’re adding the diaper twist, hand one out to each participant before the game begins.
How to Play:
Before the race begins, each player must put on an adult diaper (over their clothes, of course). Then, on the count of three, they race to finish their baby bottle the fastest. No squeezing, no cheating – just pure sipping power!
Watching grown adults in diapers chug from baby bottles? Absolute comedy gold.
Best For:
Silly or bold crowds, large or small groups, showers where everyone’s up for a laugh.
The Blindfolded Baby Race
What You’ll Need:
- Blindfolds
- A small prize
Preparation:
Choose an area for the race and place the prize at the finish line. For an extra challenge, set up obstacles along the way to make navigation even trickier and more fun!
How to Play:
Players form pairs. One is blindfolded while their partner guides them to the prize using only a baby voice. The baby voice not only fits the baby shower theme but also makes it harder to recognize your partner’s voice, adding to the challenge and the laughs! The first team to reach the prize wins!
Best For:
Small to medium groups, playful and silly guests, outdoor parties.
Diaper Pong
What You’ll Need:
- A large board or backdrop
- 12 (or more) clean diapers
- Balls or rolled-up socks
- Labels with point values (10–40 points)
- Double-sided tape or adhesive to attach diapers
Preparation:
Mount diapers in a grid on a large board and label each with a different point value. Make sure they’re open enough to catch a ball! You can style the board to match your theme.
How to Play:
Guests take turns tossing soft balls or rolled-up socks at the board, aiming to land them inside the diapers. Each diaper is worth a different number of points. After everyone has had a turn, tally up the scores, the guest with the highest total wins!
This game is not only hilarious to watch but also makes for a gorgeous photo backdrop.
Best For:
Medium to large groups, competitive guests, stylish indoor or outdoor baby showers.

The Wrong Answer Game
What You’ll Need:
- A list of questions
Preparation:
Prepare a list of questions about babies, pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood.
How to Play:
The host asks one player at a time a question such as “How many months is a full-term pregnancy?” The player must answer incorrectly. The same guest keeps answering until they accidentally answer correctly, then the next guest takes their turn. The person who gives the most wrong answers before eventually answering correctly wins!
It’s harder (and funnier) than you think!
Best For:
All group sizes, guests who love clever games and wordplay, indoor settings.
Head, Shoulders, Knees… Bottle!
What You’ll Need:
- Baby bottles
- Optional: balloons (one per player)
Preparation:
Blow up balloons and set them aside in case you want to use them.
How to Play:
Guests pair up and, for extra laughs, tuck a balloon under their shirts to look “pregnant.” Line the pairs in two rows, facing each other, with the baby bottle placed in the middle.
A host calls out different body parts like “head,” “shoulders,” or “knees” and players must touch the correct spot on themselves.
But when “bottle” is called, the two guests must race to grab the bottle first!
The winner stays in the game and gets a new partner, while the other is out.
Keep playing until just two guests remain for one final round. The winner of that round wins the game!
Best For:
Medium to large groups, energetic guests, indoor or outdoor showers.
No Thumbs Challenge
What You’ll Need:
- Tape
- The supplies needed will depend on the tasks you choose.
Preparation:
Prepare baby-related items and tape guests’ thumbs to their palms.
How to Play:
Guests must complete a series of baby-related tasks without using their thumbs. The tasks can include:
- Changing a diaper on a baby doll
- Unscrewing and preparing a baby bottle
- Opening a pack of baby wipes and taking one out
Each task is timed, and the player who completes all the challenges the fastest wins! Watching participants struggle with simple tasks without thumbs is absolutely hilarious!
Best For:
Medium groups, hands-on guests, indoor or outdoor parties.
Catch the Pacifier
What You’ll Need:
- Pacifiers
- Strings, ribbons, or pacifier clips
Preparation:
Tie one pacifier to the end of each string or ribbon. Make sure you have a way to secure the other end around each player’s waist (pacifier clips work best).
How to Play:
Guests must use only their hip (no hands!) to swing the pacifier up into their mouth. Wiggling, bouncing, and full-body moves are encouraged!
The first player to land the pacifier in their mouth wins.
Best For:
Co-ed showers, bold guests, indoor or outdoor parties.
Silent Baby Karaoke
What You’ll Need:
- Headphones
- A playlist of baby songs
Preparation:
Prepare a list of classic children’s songs and a playlist. Set up headphones to play loud music for one player while the rest of the group listens to the children’s song.
How to Play:
Players form pairs. One player wears headphones with loud music so they cannot hear anything. Meanwhile, the rest of the group listens to a well-known children’s song. The other player must act out or lip-sync the song using only gestures and facial expressions to help their partner guess the song. The pair that guesses the most songs correctly wins!
Best For:
Small groups, outgoing guests, indoor baby showers.

Creative and sounds so much fun! Thanks for this list.
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it!
Can you explain in more details how to play the wrong answer game? I’m not sure I understood… Tnx!!
Sure! You prepare a list of 30–40 simple questions in advance about pregnancy, childbirth, babies, parenting, and so on. You choose a host who asks the questions. The host turns to the first participant and asks a question like, “What do you call a baby when it’s still in the womb?” The correct answer is, of course, “fetus.” But in this game you must give a wrong answer. For example, you might say “dog.”
If the participant indeed gives a wrong answer, the host continues asking them more questions until they accidentally give a correct answer, at which point they are out. Then you count how many questions they managed to answer before being eliminated.
After that, the host moves on to the next participant and asks them different questions, which also must be answered incorrectly. Each participant continues until they slip up with a correct answer, and then it goes on to the next, and so on.
The winner is the one who managed to give the most wrong answers before being eliminated.
