Ergobaby Omni Breeze Baby Carrier review

When it comes to baby gear, a baby carrier is the number one item I always recommend to new moms! It’s a life saver for so many reasons!

With Liam, I used the BabyBjorn One, which you can read all about in my review here. But for Emily, I decided to try the Ergobaby Omni Breeze, and I absolutely love it!

Let me tell you why this baby carrier has been a game-changer for me and why it might be just what you need too.

What Makes it So great?

First things first, the Ergobaby Omni Breeze baby carrier is designed to grow with your baby. It’s suitable from newborn (yes, no infant insert needed!) up to toddlerhood (up to 45 lbs).

The carrier is all about versatility and comfort, offering multiple carrying positions: front inward, front outward, hip, and back carry.

This means you can switch things up as your baby grows and their needs change.

Product Specifications

  • Weight Range: Newborn to 45 lbs (No infant insert needed)
  • Carrying Positions: Front inward, front outward, hip, and back
  • Material: Breathable mesh fabric
  • Special Features: Adjustable lumbar support, padded shoulder straps, machine washable
  • Safety: Sturdy buckles, adjustable straps for secure fit
  • Color Options: Available in various colors to suit personal style

How to Put On the Ergobaby Omni Breeze

I know putting on a baby carrier can sometimes feel like solving a puzzle, but trust me, the Ergobaby Omni Breeze makes it straightforward.

Here are some easy steps to follow:

  1. Start with the Waistbelt: Secure the waistbelt around your waist, ensuring it’s snug but comfortable. The buckle is sturdy and easy to clip.
  2. Adjust the Shoulder Straps: Loosen the shoulder straps before putting the carrier on. This will give you more room to maneuver when getting your baby in.
  3. Place Your Baby In: If you’re using the front inward position (my personal favorite for newborns), hold your baby close to your chest, and gently slide their legs into the carrier’s seat.
  4. Secure the Shoulder Straps: Bring the shoulder straps over your shoulders and clip the chest buckle at the back. Adjust the straps to ensure your baby is held securely and comfortably.
  5. Check for Comfort: Make sure your baby’s legs are in the “M” position (knees higher than their bottom) for healthy hip development. Adjust the head and neck support as needed.

Using the Ergobaby Omni Breeze

The beauty of the Ergobaby Omni Breeze baby carrier lies in its adaptability.

For newborns, the front inward position is perfect, keeping them close and secure. As your baby grows, you can switch to the front outward position so they can explore the world.

The hip carry is great for curious toddlers who want to see everything, and the back carry is perfect for hiking or long walks.

The carrier’s mesh fabric is a game-changer, especially in warmer weather. It’s breathable, keeping both you and your baby cool and comfortable.

Plus, the lumbar support and padded shoulder straps mean you can wear it for extended periods without straining your back or shoulders.

Washing the Ergobaby Omni Breeze

Let’s be real – baby carriers can get messy. Thankfully, the Ergobaby Omni Breeze is machine washable. Here’s a quick guide:

  1. Fasten All Buckles: Before washing, make sure all the buckles are fastened to prevent them from getting damaged.
  2. Use a Gentle Cycle: Wash the carrier on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners.
  3. Air Dry: Lay the carrier flat to air dry. Avoid using the dryer, as high heat can damage the fabric and buckles.

The Ergobaby Omni Breeze baby carrier has been a fantastic addition to our baby gear collection. It’s versatile, comfortable, and easy to use, making it a must-have for any parent.

Whether you’re a first-time mom or looking to upgrade your current carrier, the Ergobaby Omni Breeze is definitely worth considering.

If you’ve tried the Ergobaby Omni Breeze or have any questions, drop a comment below! I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
